Sharpen your swords, ready your spellbooks, and gather your dice, because The Becky Valentine Foundation is thrilled to announce our very first community outreach event, Critical Causes: A Day of Dungeons, Dragons, & Dreams, coming this November at the Yarrow Family YMCA!
This afternoon of imagination, strategy, and storytelling is a chance to connect play with purpose: raising support for our mission to expand educational opportunities, protect the environment, and create lasting impact.
Why Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is not merely a role playing game. It’s also a powerful tool for building skills that last a lifetime:

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Every quest is filled with choices, puzzles, and challenges. Studies show that role-playing games enhance decision-making and reasoning by pushing players to think creatively and strategically in complex scenarios.
